China National Research Institute of Food and Fermentation Industries Corporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as the Institute) is a leading domestic and international research and development institution in China’s food industry and is committed to providing whole-chain technical support and solution for sound development of the industry. Back in 1999, the Institute underwent an institutional transformation to one of 12 major technology-based enterprises directly under the supervision of the central government. It is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Sinolight Corporation under China Poly Group which is on the list of Fortune Global 500 and was enlisted as demonstration enterprise for China’s corporate technological reforms in 2020. The institute now hosts 14 national science and technology innovation base, master degree program in China’s first-level discipline and post-doctoral research station. Since its establishment, the Institute has completed over 1,000 scientific research projects at state level, received over 300 awards in technology at provincial, ministerial and national level, registered over 200 patents for invention and formulated over 800 standards.
