The "National Strategic Alliance of Technology Innovation of New Food Resource Health Industry" (hereinafter referred to as the "Alliance") is jointly planned by the China Rural Technology Development Center of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China and the China National Research Institute of Food & Fermentation Industry (CNRIFFI), and jointly with the National Food Safety Risk Assessment Center, COFCO Nutrition and Health Research Institute Co., Ltd., Beijing Sanyuan Food Co., Ltd., Danisco (China) Investment Co., Ltd Perfect (China) Co., Ltd., Jiangnan University and other 17 vice chairman units jointly launched the establishment. Its development goal is to promote industrial innovation, promote industrial integration, promote industrial incubation and park construction, promote international cooperation, and create a benign market environment. The Alliance is committed to integrating the resources of China's novel food industry, expanding the field of food raw materials, extending the food safety industry chain, improving the overall technological innovation ability and level of the industry, improving the competitiveness of China's novel food raw materials and food in the national market, exploring the new mode of economic development of China's agricultural product processing and novel food raw materials industry chain, optimizing the industrial development environment, and promoting the development of China's food and special medical food industry. By 2020, the "Alliance" will strive to create a common technology innovation platform for new resource food in China, promote the construction of new resource food standards and certification system in China, establish a nutrition and function evaluation platform, a technology trading platform, and an industrial development fund for new resource food in China, build an international cooperation platform, and establish a talent innovation and entrepreneurship platform, so as to improve the overall technical level of the industry and promote the development of the industry.
The Alliance regularly organizes its members to hold seminars to lay a foundation for the establishment of China's novel food resource database, functional research and product application. The Alliance is currently applying to join the Collaborative Development Network of Industrial Technology Innovation and Industry Strategy Alliance.
