The Children's Food Branch of Chinese Institute of Food Science and Technology (CIFST) was jointly founded in 1987 by the China National Research Institute of Food & Fermentation Industries (CNRIFFI), the Institute of Nutrition and Health of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Shanghai Food Society. It has a history of more than 30 years and has made great contributions in the field of children's food. At present, the Children's Food Branch has successfully held 14 academic annual conferences on children's food, and held many seminars on children's food safety and nutrition for the development of new products, the application of new technologies, the formulation and revision of standards, etc. In the next stage, the work of the branch will mainly focus on the current situation of children's nutrition and children's food market in China, create the core concept of food education and sentiment cultivation, and create an innovative direction of consumer behavior and clinical nutrition, aiming at changing the situation of children's overnutrition and malnutrition in China. In the future, we will carry out work related to children's science popularization education to promote children's food technology upgrading and healthy development of the industry.
