Georgian Wine (China) Promotion Center (GWPC) is one of the important achievements in the foreign aid training of China’s food industry. It has achieved remarkable results in the promotion of wine culture, consumer education and trade promotion. The leaders of the competent ministries of agriculture, economy and foreign affairs of Georgia and the officials of the embassies of China and Georgia have visited the center for many times. In February 2012, at the invitation of the Georgian Ambassador to China and the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Georgia, CNRIFFI initiated the preparation of “Georgian Wine (China) Promotion Center”. In July 2015, the Minister of Agriculture of Georgia and the Vice Minister of Agriculture of China unveiled the promotion center at CNRIFFI. Relying on the industry advantages of Poly Group and CNRIFFI, the Promotion Center is committed to information exchange between the government and the industry, wine culture promotion, education and training, quality identification, production area research and trade promotion.

Business Contents of the Promotion Center:

Assist in the promotion of Georgian wine in the domestic market, promote information exchange and communication between the two governments and industries, and invite industry experts from the two countries to visit each other.

Promotion of Georgian wine culture, media publicity, translation of video materials, publication, etc.

Provide sales strategy consultation, exhibition recommendation, docking services with top resources such as domestic wine education institutions and distributors, and conduct consumer education and sales staff training.

Provide procurement consulting services, and assist domestic distributors to connect with formal import channels, centralized procurement transportation and import agency services.

In November 2017, with the active promotion of the Moldovan Embassy in China, CNRIFFI and the Moldovan Grape and Wine Bureau formally signed an agreement on the promotion of Moldovan wine in China, and jointly established the Moldova Wine (China) Promotion Center. In March 2019, with the active promotion of the business representative office of the Azerbaijani Embassy in China, a cooperation agreement was signed with the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation, and the Azerbaijan Wine (China) Promotion Center was established to provide assistance for the construction of the “Belt and Road Initiative” in the country. In the meantime, based on years of foreign aid training and promotion, CNRIFFI has also gradually launched liquor internationalization business, contributing to the “going out” of Chinese liquor.
